Winter League
Due to another cancelled
competition and the requirement to get the Winter League time sheet
displayed at least one week in advance. The Winter League will be held over
a 20 week period from 15th
Entry
Entry into the
competition will be £10 which includes:
1.
Winter League Cup
2.
Winter League Team
Competition
3.
Winter League Prize
Giving Dinner (Date to be confirmed)
Formats
Winter League
Cup: 2/3 of the total number of competitions played over the 20 week period
will count to your final score.
Team:
The best 3 scores for each team will count towards the team’s weekly
total. With 2/3 of the total number of competitions played over the 20 week
period will count to the team’s final score.
Prizes
Each week there will be
vouchers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the
three sections. For the overall Team Competition prizes will be given for 1st,
2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

for entries extended until Sat 1st November *
* To allow time for a timesheet to be drawn up
Additional Information
Course
Each week the Winter League will be played over a 9 hole
course as directed by the Match & Handicap committee which may vary
dependant on the number of playable holes on the course.

Counting Weeks
If all 20 weeks are played the total number of counting
competitions will be 13 weeks. If a competition is cancelled or not
completed then the number of counting weeks will be reduced accordingly.
A competition will not count towards the overall total
if 75% of the competing members are not able to complete their round due to
the competition being called off or the course being closed.
Teams
If all the members of your 4 ball are not entering into
the Winter League, the
club will automatically add you into the nearest available team.
Tee Times
A Winter League time sheet will be in operation during the
20 weeks. Members who are not competing will be only be able to play:
1.
The alternative 9 hole course or the
remaining ‘open’ holes
2.
After the last group playing in the winter
league
3.
The PAR 3 course
Note: Match & Handicap would like to remind everyone the same
rules to apply to cancelling tee times during the Winter League as during
the summer.
Delayed Starts
If the start is delayed more than 30 minutes, Match and
Handicap will make a decision on how the competition will be played with the
emphasis on enabling everyone to complete their round with the minimal
amount of delay to start times.
If the competition is cancelled but course is playable
the club will hold a sweep competition played in the same format as a normal
Sunday or Wednesday competition - Entry £2.
